A veneer purchase at Woaz Board By far the most important step, before we start shaping a Woaz Board is buying the veneer. There are a few things to consider and decide. We only use local woods for our boards, namely maple and ash. The maple will later provide the stable core, and the ash for the unmistakable feel and look. We select the highest quality veneer frets and also ensure that we produce as little waste as possible. (Wood is very precious to us!) This is a process that can of course take a few hours, but we are happy to take our time. That is why we can say with a clear conscience: Every tree from which our Woaz Boards are manufactured, are hand-sorted and are not only checked for quality by us, but also valued.
